Nitronic 50 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that combines corrosion resistance with robustness. Its resistance to corrosion is higher than that of regular 316 stainless steel, with its performance being twice as high at ambient temperatures.

  • Corrosion resistance: higher than that of 316 stainless steel, especially in the case of pitting and crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion in chloride-rich environments.
  • Sturdiness: offers high mechanical strength, with twice as good a performance as 316 stainless steel at room temperature.
  • Ductility: maintains good ductility and tenacity at low temperatures.

  • Can be made stronger through cold working. Thanks to its austenitic composition, it does not require heat treatment in order to harden.
